Luan Becerra

Luan Becerra is a dedicated athlete, Owner, and Head Coach of the Kauai Swim Team. Known for his strong work ethic and competitive spirit, Luan consistently pushes the limits for himself in all areas of life. He has swam for 25+ years all the way from 5-years old with Olympic Coach, Dick Oliver in the very same pool he is now coaching in. This full circle life journey has a very special significance for Luan and he is absolutely honored to have the blessing and privilege to be coaching at the legendary pool he grew up swimming in. He has earned several accolades that showcase his successes as an athletem and has created a positive a reputation for his strong strokes in the pool, excelling in multiple swims and distances. Luan was an All-Star Champion swimmer in Kapa’a High School. His team won the Kaua’i Interscholastic Federatthenship, making Luan the fastest high school swimmer on the island at that time for freestyle. His team qualified for the Hawai’i State Championships in the Big Island.

When not in competition or coaching, Luan fosters a positive team environment, encouraging his peers and sharing techniques that contribute to the collective improvement of the team. He is additionally an 8-time Founder and Serial Entrepreneur, creating companies that improve the planet and inspire others. His comittedness to both individual and team goals reflects Luan’s knowledge of the importance of collaboration in the world of sports and life.

Luan is excited about hosting local swim meets and improving the community of Kauai through competition, discipline, and fun. Luan simultaneously pursues a professional boxing career and is a licensed, registered amateur boxing competitor with USA Boxing. With 10-years of real estate under his belt, Mr. Becerra also loves helping his friends, family, and clients purchase and sell properties all over Hawai’i. His passion for swimming, surfing, businesss and dedication to the Kauai Swim Team inspire both younger swimmers and his teammates, making him a role model within the community. As Luan continues to train and compete, Coach Luan’s influence on the team is sure to grow, both in and out of the pool. He looks forward to working and coaching with you, and creating a beautiful friendship with each and every one of his team members.
